Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) Recruitment Announcement


 Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) is a State Corporation established as a Uniformed and Disciplined Service by the Wildlife (Conservation and Management) Act of 1989 (now repealed and replaced by the Wildlife Conservation and Management Act No. 47 of 2013). The overall mandate of the Service is to conserve and manage national parks, sanctuaries and wildlife in the country and enforce related Laws and Regulations. 


Open positions


1. Cadets (Assistant Warden I) - KWS Job Grade “9” - 100 Posts - Ref: KWS/01/2024


Job Requirements:

- Citizen of Kenya

- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2nd class honors lower division in relevant fields

- Age 28 years and below

- Good health and physique

- No criminal record

2. Fill the application form and attach relevant documents

3. Submit the complete application to the Director General, Kenya Wildlife Service, P.O. Box 40241 – 00100 Nairobi, Kenya, or email to recruitment@kws.go.ke by April 8, 2024.


2. Rangers – KWS Job Grade “15” - 900 Posts - Ref: KWS/02/2024


Job Requirements:

- Citizen of Kenya

- Kenya National Identity Card/Passport holder

- Minimum mean grade of “D” (Plain) in KCSE or equivalent

- Age between 18 and 26 years

- Physically and medically fit

- No criminal record


How to Apply:

1. Obtain the application form from the nearest KWS National Park/Station or download from www.kws.go.ke

2. Fill the application form and attach relevant documents

3. Present the filled application form and attached documents at the recruitment center on the specified dates.


Recruitment Dates, Time & Venues:

- April 15th to April 19th, 2024

- Candidates should arrive in appropriate running gear at the designated venues on the specified dates.

- Recruitment is free of charge and conducted only at designated centers by KWS Officers.

- Original documents must be presented for verification.

- Any form of corruption or malpractice will lead to disqualification and legal action.
