About the Voyager Scholarship:
The Voyager Scholarship, founded by the Obamas and Brian Chesky, CEO of Airbnb, seeks young leaders passionate about public service. This two-year program provides financial aid, immersive travel experiences, and a network of mentors to empower the next generation of leaders. It aims to inspire students with a curiosity about the world and a commitment to positive change through public service.
Program Overview & Commitment:
- Financial Aid: Up to $50,000 in "last dollar" financial aid for junior and senior years, easing the burden of college debt.
- Summer Voyage: A $10,000 stipend and free Airbnb housing for a self-designed summer work-travel experience.
- 10-Year Travel Stipend: $2,000 Airbnb travel credit annually for 10 years post-graduation.
- Fall Summit: An in-person convening during junior year for community building, leadership skill development, and learning from experienced leaders.
- Network of Leaders: Access to an ongoing speaker series and the Obama Foundation's global community.
