Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assessing patient needs for nursing services.
2. Verifying and maintaining information relating to patients’ admissions.
3. Providing appropriate healthcare services including Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI), immunization, PMTCT, ante-natal care, and delivery.
4. Providing health education and counseling to patients/clients and the community on identified health needs.
5. Keeping records of drugs and supplies.
6. Preparing reports and participating in appropriate meetings.
7. Guiding, supervising, and counseling staff under him/her in performing routine duties.
8. Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment.
9. Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements for Appointment:
1. Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing from Kenya Medical Training College or a recognized nursing training institution.
2. Registered & Licensed by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
3. Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
4. At least one year of experience in a busy hospital.
