Company Overview:

Sotik Tea Company Limited,established in 1945, is located in the highlands of Sotik, Nairobi, Kenya. Managing 1,800ha of tea and 850ha of commercial forestry, the company is expanding into Avocados and Blueberries for the export market.

Position:Security Manager  

Reporting to: General Manager (operational) and Legal & Administration Manager (administrative)

Position Purpose/Objective:

The Security Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the company’s safety and security procedures, ensuring a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

- Plan, monitor, and oversee all security operations.

- Collect, update, verify, and communicate information regarding the security situation.

- Prepare, review, and implement security plans, risk management documents, and offer security solutions.

- Organize and conduct security training courses and provide security orientation to new staff members.

- Liaise and coordinate with government security organizations, NGOs, and local authorities.

- Manage recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management of security personnel.

- Prepare security annual budgets and work plans, monitoring performance.

- Support organizational resilience, contingency planning, and crisis decision-making.

- Conduct investigations on security incidents, recommend mitigation measures, and review regularly.

- Oversee the assessment, maintenance, and improvement of security systems.

- Manage security-related vendor relationships and maintain accurate records and reports.

Qualification & Experience Required:

- Bachelor’s degree in a security-related field; Master’s degree is an added advantage.

- Minimum eight (8) years of cumulative work experience in security, conflict resolution, or risk management.

- Proficiency in computer applications.
