Meru County Public Service Board - Job Vacancies

 

The Meru County Public Service Board invites qualified and competent individuals to apply for various positions within the County Government of Meru. The positions available are as follows:

1. Assistant Engineer II Civil/Structural

   - Salary Scale: CPSB 09 (1 Post)

   - Job Description: Preliminary designs in road works, supervision of construction and maintenance of roads, preparation of work plans, and progress reports.

   - Job Specifications:

     - KCSE Certificate or its equivalent

     - Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering

     - Registered by EBK as a graduate engineer

2. Procurement Officer II

   - Salary Scale: CPSB 10 (1 Post)

   - Job Description: Proper warehouse and distribution management, fleet management, monthly reports preparation, disposal of stores and equipment, procurement market survey and research, inventory control, and other assigned duties.

   - Job Specifications:

     - Kenyan citizen

     - KCSE Certificate or its equivalent

     - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management/Purchasing and Supply, Management/Supplies and Procurement Management or equivalent

     - Knowledge of procurement processes and laws

     - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

     - Self-driven with initiative and proficiency in computer applications

3. Physical Planner

   - Salary Scale: CPSB 09 (1 Post)

   - Job Description: Preparing physical development plans, feasibility studies, implementing physical plans for municipalities, processing development applications, and maintaining planning records.

   - Job Specification:

     - Bachelor’s degree in urban and regional planning, urban planning, or town planning

     - Graduate member of the Kenya Institute of Planners or Architectural Association of Kenya (Town Planning Chapter)

     - Certificate in computer application skills

4. Assistant Quantity Surveyor II

   - Salary Scale: CPSB 09 (1 Post)

   - Job Description: Preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities, monthly valuations on site, site measurements, and preparation of variation orders.

   - Job Specification:

     - Bachelor’s degree in quantity survey/building economics or equivalent

     - Registered as a graduate member of either Architectural Association of Kenya or the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya
