Position: GLF Youth in Landscapes Network Intern

Overview:

The GLF Youth in Landscapes Network Intern will contribute to the growth of the network through community building and promotion, ensuring programs serve the broader youth community. This internship is a unique opportunity to work with the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF), the world’s largest knowledge-led platform on sustainable land use.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate between the Youth in Landscapes Steering Committee and GLF Youth team

- Ensure YIL and GLF Youth programs complement each other

- Create and deliver youth programs at GLF and partner events

- Mainstream youth initiatives across GLF activities

- Develop learning and capacity-building programs for youth

- Assist in knowledge management and update activities of YIL partner organizations

- Coordinate YIL Project Teams across GLF regions

- Support Youth Communications in social media engagement and network building

- Assist with outreach efforts to associate partners and youth organizations

- Undertake other tasks related to young people and the GLF

Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an MSc program or graduated from a BSc program with 1 year of relevant experience

- Excellent command of English; other languages (especially Spanish, French, Portuguese) is an asset

- Strong organizational and communication skills

- Experience with social media content creation and campaigns

- Familiarity with online engagement, youth organizations, capacity development, or event management

- Comfortable with remote work

- Age between 18 and 35

- Previous engagement with the Youth in Landscapes Network is considered an asset

Terms and Conditions:

- Full-time paid internship

- Period: March 2024 – November 2024 (9 months)

- Work location: Home-based (preferably in CET time zone or similar)
