KMTC/Beyond Zero Scholarship Opportunities for Certificate in Community Health Nursing

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) in partnership with Beyond Zero is offering scholarship opportunities for the Certificate in Community Health Nursing for the 2019/2020 academic year, beginning March 2020. The program aims to prioritize qualified candidates from selected Arid and Semi-Arid (ASAL) counties, underserved minorities, and other vulnerable and marginalized groups (VMGs) willing to serve in their communities upon graduation.

- Duration:2 ½ years

- Campuses:Lodwar, Kapenguria, Loitoktok, and Msambweni

Entry Requirements for Certificate in Community Health Nursing:

1. K.C.S.E Mean Grade C- or equivalent qualifications

2. C- in English or Kiswahili

3. C- in Biology

4. D+ in any one of the following: Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry

Application Guidelines:

1. Interested applicants should attach a handwritten essay of not more than 200 words explaining why they deserve the scholarship and the contribution they will make to the community upon graduation.

2. Applications should be submitted to the Chief Executive Officer, KMTC, on or before January 31, 2020.

3. Successful applicants will receive a full scholarship for the duration of the course.

4. Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Application Process:

1. Visit the KMTC website at http://www.kmtc.ac.ke

2. Navigate to the ADMSION PORTAL.

3. Log in with your email and password or register if you don't have an account.

4. Fill in the online application form, enter subject grades accurately, and submit.

5. Upload certificates (KCSE, Leaving certificate, and ID/birth certificate).

6. Select "Beyond Zero Scholarship" under the level, choose the 2019/2020 academic calendar, and select the March intake.

7. Fill in parents' information, education background, and tribe in the Beyond Zero Application form.

8. Print the completed form, attach relevant documents, sign, stamp, and send it to the Chief Executive Officer, Kenya Medical Training College, P.O. Box 30195 – 00100 Nairobi.
