Sabatia Eye Hospital, an independent not-for-profit hospital located in Vihiga County, Kenya, specializing in eye care, is seeking dedicated individuals to fill key positions under the Vision Impact Project and Low Vision Cluster Project, in collaboration with Christian Blind Mission (CBM). Here are the available positions:
1. Programme Manager – The Vision Impact Project Kenya, Vihiga County
Responsibilities:
- Lead project implementation of the Vision Impact Project in Vihiga County.
- Develop and manage project activities, working with health partners in the county.
- Supervise the preparation and review of annual program budgets.
- Implement partner contracts and ensure compliance with grant terms.
- Coordinate partnership between county teams, implementing partners, and relevant institutions.
- Monitor and evaluate program performance, ensuring learning and best practices.
- Oversee procurement procedures and purchasing activities.
2. Programme Manager – Low Vision Cluster Project
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the CBM Global Low Vision Program activities in collaboration with partners.
- Ensure financial management and compliance with grant terms.
- Manage partnerships between Low Vision Program and implementing partners.
- Represent CBM Global in cluster fora and serve as the country-level focal person for vision therapy network.
- Coordinate monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance.
- Facilitate learning sessions for staff and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience in project management, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, program management, or related field.
- Minimum CPA/CPS Part II.
- Certificate in M&E or project management is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in community-based program and project planning and management.
- Knowledge of political landscapes and government structures.
- Self-motivated and solution-focused.
