Field Debt Collection Associate.

Location: Thika & Kisii

Reporting into: Portfolio and Recovery Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Debt Analysis: Craft debtor's aging analysis, prioritizing strategic actions.

2. Collections:Achieve and exceed collection targets by retrieving outstanding debts from clients.

3. Monitoring: Keep a vigilant eye on slow-moving accounts, identifying delinquencies, and taking proactive recovery measures.

4. Reporting:Prepare weekly collection reports, ensuring transparency and accountability against targets.

5. Adherence: Follow company policies and procedures diligently, upholding standards of excellence.

6. Closure Targets: Meet monthly targets by successfully closing a specified number of collection accounts.

7. Communication: Engage with debtors, implementing effective payment schedules and terms.

8. Confidentiality:Uphold the security and confidentiality of company and customer information.

9. Field Visits:Conduct on-site visits to clients for effective and personalized debt collection.

10. Book Maintenance:Ensure accuracy and currency of debtor's book, reflecting the latest debt status.

Qualifications:

- Educational Background:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree.

- Experience:

2-3 years of proven work experience in credit management.

- Expertise:

Good understanding of lending procedures and credit-related laws.

- Travel:

Willingness to travel to customer sites daily.

- Negotiation Skills: 

Considerable experience in customer negotiations.
