The Murang’a County Public Service Board is excited to announce the recruitment of 20 NHIF Clerks to contribute to the Kang'ata Care health program. This initiative, recently launched by the Murang’a County Government, aims to provide essential healthcare services, covering 20,000 vulnerable households.


NHIF Program Benefits:

- Comprehensive inpatient care in government hospitals and faith-based facilities.

- Outpatient care in contracted health facilities.

- Optical and dental care in government hospitals.

- Last expense (burial expense) - Kshs. 100,000 single claim.

- Kshs. 50,000 single claim for the principal member, spouse, child, main parent, or parent-in-law.


Terms of Service:

Casual engagement for a three-month term, renewable based on needs. Remuneration will be as set out in the minimum wage guidelines.


Requirements for Appointment:

- KCSE D Plain and Above.

- Certificate in Computer from a recognized institution.

- Post-secondary education/training (an added advantage).


Duties and Responsibilities:

The NHIF Clerks will undertake various activities in all county facilities, including:

- Enrollment of residents under NHIF.

- Processing NHIF claims - filling claim forms, collecting, and forwarding payments.

- Registration of persons over 70 years.

- Registration of patients suffering from chronic illness and cerebral palsy.

- Registration of pregnant women in the county into NHIF.
